I haven't seen this yet
but know it's totally awful. I could tell from the preview when I was forced to sit through Alvin and the Chipmunks (blame my brothers). Really. I use to love watching this cartoon late at night on Cartoon Network when my mom would go out dancing on Saturday nights and this old lady use to watch me (her definition of watching was sleep while I watched TV).
But I'll excuse this just once because Emile Hirsch is so goddamned cute. Seriously, Speed--piggyback me!

i understand that when a cartoon is awesome, people love it...but Speed Racer is definitely not something i would want to see as a live-action film. it seems a little pointless, sort of like Alvin and the Chipmunks (which i loved as a kid). just big no-no's in my book.
