How often do you go to a place of worship? What is it like there?
These are my thoughts.
I am not a member of any organized religion. I do support my friends and family who choose to believe differently however, I had a very negative childhood when it comes to religion and still to this day, it has left a sour taste in my mouth. So lately I have found my peace and solitude in Mother Nature. Mother Nature is my church. I worship the luminous sunshine that makes me close my eyes as I look up, the fluffy appearance of the clouds that make me want to just jump right into them, the blue sky that consumes the skyline and the sound of rain beating on my windows. I find peace in dogs wrestling in the grass, children running with their kite strings in hand and the wind blowing various tinted leaves all around me as I watch everyone feeling the same sense of home that I feel. It's not that I will never change my mind either, maybe one day I will find a place I feel is open minded and accepting. Until then, this is my serenity.
